A Morning with Jacqueline Wilson
Newcastle Tyne Theatre & Opera House
Sunday 22nd May 2016
We are very proud to welcome beloved children’s author Dame Jaqueline Wilson to Tyne Theatre & Opera House for a unique event on Sunday 22nd May.
A Morning with Jacqueline Wilsonwill see the legend herself discuss her remarkable career and brand new book Rent a Bridesmaid.
Her new book features the storyline of every young girl’s dream, as Jacqueline transports readers into a beautiful tale of friendship and confetti.
Tilly can’t believe it when her best friend Matty is asked to be a bridesmaid. In Tilly’s favourite daydream, she’s kitted out in the most beautiful bridesmaid dress, walking down the aisle behind a beautiful bride. The one wedding she’d really like to attend is her own Mum and Dad’s. But as that’s never going to happen, it’s time for Tilly to make her own dream come true – and put her bridesmaid services up for hire . . .
Jacqueline is one of the nation’s favourite authors, and her books are loved and cherished by young readers not only in the UK but all over the world. She has sold millions of books and in the UK alone the total now stands at over 35 million!
There will be no book signing after the talk but there will be plenty of opportunity for children to ask questions.
A selection of Jacqueline Wilson’s books, including Rent a Bridesmaid will be available to purchase from Waterstones on the day.
