Tyne Theatre & Opera House is thrilled to announce the latest edition to our fantastic comedy line-up for 2016/17.
Award winning comedian and actor Omid Djalili, known for his legendary stand-up performances, is back on a nationwide tour and brings his show Schmuck for a Night to Newcastle’s historic Victorian theatre on Friday 17th February 2017.
Intelligent, sometimes provocative and always entertaining, his stand-up is a hugely energetic and captivating comedy masterclass.
Djalili’s credits range from Hollywood to television and the West End stage. Earning praise across the world for his performances, he recently starred in Dickensian (BBC1), Lucky Man (Sky1) and Going Forward (BBC4) with Jo Brand.

Omid Djalili is the latest comedian to be added to Tyne Theatre & Opera House’s ever-expanding comedy line-up, with recent weeks seeing new show announcements from Rich Hall, Jerry Sadowitz, Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe to name but a few! The next comedian to grace our stage is the hilarious Joe Lycett on Friday 1st July.
