The search is on to find a local young dancer to join cast of the David Walliams’ hit shows Gangsta Granny on stage at Sunderland Empire!
Birmingham Stage Company, the acclaimed producers of the hit David Walliams’ play, GANGSTA GRANNY are looking for a 16- 18 year old girl dancer to play a small but important part in this show when as part of its current UK tour it plays Sunderland Empire from Wednesday 10th – Sunday 14th May 2017.
Neal Foster the shows director said today: “This is a really good opportunity for a young dancer just starting in the profession to get a great addition to her CV and gain valuable on stage experience acting with a professional company in a show rated 4 stars by national critics. We envisage full houses at the Sunderland Empire so the girl chosen will have a week to remember dancing a solo in front of huge enthusiastic audiences – a wonderful experience!”
Any female dancers over 16 years old interested in being considered should email a demo video of her performing a short modern/disco piece to gangstagranny@birminghamstage. com
Or get in touch with Alison Fitzjohn (Gangsta Granny’s Resident Director) on the same email for more info.
The chosen dancer will be sent a video of the 2 minute dance she will be performing in the show so she can learn the choreography. She will be expected to perform in all Gangsta Granny performances day and evenings at the Sunderland Empire and will be paid a fee for each show.
Gangsta Granny is a must for all families as the show will be enjoyed by everyone from 5 to 105! It’s both laugh out loud funny with some brilliant comic scenes but also has some very moving and truthful things to say about family relationships.
