Time Travellers: an immersive short story show
Durham Palace Green Library,Durham University
Thursday June 22nd 2017
Time Travellers is an immersive short story show exploring fiction about time travel and fiction as time travel. It is created by Ark in response to the new exhibition Time Machines - the past, the future, and how stories take us there at Durham University's Palace Green Library.
The audience will be led on a journey around the exhibition and library spaces to experience live performances, audio installations, music, shadow puppetry and film. You will discover short stories by writing giants such as Neil Gaiman and Ursula K. Le Guin, and a brilliant musical rendition of The Time Machine by Laurence Owen and Lindsay Sharman. You will even get the chance to contribute your own stories as you travel through the fourth dimension.
You are invited to arrive up to 30 minutes prior to your performance time to have a drink and join in with a literature-based craft activity. A pay bar will be available. Over 18s only.
Ark is an experimental live literature project to stage immersive short story shows in library spaces involving creative cross-arts collaborations. Connect with us on Twitter or Facebook.
