He has stunned audiences across the globe with his uncanny similarity and ability to authentically revive the exquisite toe-tapping sound of this music giant. Barry Steele is quite simply unmissable, as he takes you on this specially produced musical journey in time as he celebrates his own personal ten year anniversary on tour.

Peace Train: The Cat Stevens – Monday 4 September (7.30pm)
 
Following a SELL OUT run at the World Famous Sydney Opera House, Peace Train is a night of music and story-telling which will strike a chord deep inside the heart of anyone who longs for something more; a journey back in time, recreating the sights and sounds, seeking out the man in the music and telling the story behind the songs.
 
Featuring songs such as First Cut is the Deepest, Father & Son, Peace Train, Moonshadow and Where do the Children Play - Peace Train traces the path of a man who never stopped wondering about how to make the world a better place. The Cat Stevens Story has had audiences on their feet, cheering for more all around the globe.


Variety, The Children’s Charity Concert – Tuesday 5 September (7.30pm)

Variety, the Children’s Charity, has pleasure in presenting a special charity concert featuring the internationally acclaimed G4 and the Inspiration Choir from the Sage Gateshead, hosted by local comedian Bobby Pattinson.

G4 who shot to fame on the first series of The X Factor in 2004 with their harmonies and arrangements of songs such as My Way, Circle of Life and Bohemian Rhapsody will be presenting songs from their recently released album G4 Love Songs, together with over 100 voices of the Inspiration Choir for an evening of classical and romantic music.
 
Variety, the Children’s Charity, aims to improve the lives of children and young people throughout the UK who are sick, disabled or disadvantaged.

Roy Chubby Brown – Wednesday 6 September (7.30pm)

Roy Chubby Brown returns with his meatiest show yet! He’s still rude, he’s still crude and this time he’s turning headlines into punch lines as his rip-roaring brand of banter continues to burst bellies across the country. Chubby doesn’t hold back from sharing his outlandish views on news, women and gender, sailing so close to the mark, even the most seasoned of fans will be left gob-smacked!
As politically incorrect as ever ‘The World’s Most Outrageous Comedian’ is far too rude for TV, so this live performance is the only place to catch the flamboyant comedian! Age Advisory 18+.

Showaddywaddy – Thursday 7 September (7.30pm)
 
'The Greatest Rock & Roll Band In The World' is a bold statement but Showaddywaddy has lived up to that title as they recently celebrated their 40th anniversary.

The Dreamboys – Friday 8 September (7.30pm)

The Dreamboys are without a shadow of a doubt the UK's top male strip show, perfect for a night out with all your friends. Their showcase is unquestionably the most famous male stripper act the UK has ever produced. The legendary co-founder of Eurythmics Dave Stewart is coming home in a live concert celebrating his 65th birthday!

Dave Stewart says ‘I’m looking forward to playing lots of the hit songs I’ve written over the years in the legendary Sunderland Empire. I was born and grew up in Sunderland and have many great memories about my life there (I’m sure more will come flooding back). I was a struggling musician as a teenager in Sunderland so I chose to invite the three young local bands below to perform before me.’ The bands are Social Room, Lilliput and Picnic.


Dave performs with his Nashville all-star players Chad Cromwell (Drums, previously played for Neil Young, Stevie Nicks, Mark Knopfler, Joe Walsh), Tom Bukovac (Guitar - Hank Williams Jr., Sheryl Crow, Don Henley), Dan Dugmore (Steel Guitar - Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, Stevie Nicks, Loretta Lynn) and Michael Rhodes (Bass - Martina McBride, Buddy Guy, Lady Antebellum).
