REVIEW: Door-to-Door Poetry ★★★★ at ARC Stockton

An Ode To A Door-To-Door Poet

Door-to-Door Poetry ★★★★

ARC Stockton
Wednesday 11th April 2018

Young Rowan McCabe told of his poems and more
Of his mission to take bespoke rhymes door-to-door
As Stockton Arc's audience listened enthralled
He told of his aim to take poetry to all-
From Byker's stark facias to the posh Darras Hall

Not for the faint-hearted this journey would be
With attention turned to him from the BBC
And folk of all backgrounds and different desires
Who didn't want their business going out on the wires

To tailor a poem to whomever opened the door
Takes a quick thinking fellow with empathy, for sure
This evening was well thought-out and very entertaining
Not for one single moment was the momentum here waning.

The lighting revealed to us each answered-to doorbell
And Rowan's own acting skills were on show as well
No fault could we find in this poetry yarn-telling
We hope Rowan ends up with all tickets selling!
