In April 2022 WEOS Musical Productions will return to the
Tyne Theatre with the inspiring true story of The Sound of Music. A beloved
musical and a love story for the ages; Rodgers and Hammerstein’s score soars
with classic songs such as My Favourite
Things, Do-Re-Mi, Climb Every Mountain, Edelweiss and more, in this thrilling
and inspirational adventure.
WEOS Musical Productions are an amateur performing arts society, based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Founded in 1949, WEOS has staged many shows, ranging from the classic My Fair Lady, to more modern musicals such as Hairspray.
In 2020, 2 weeks away from opening night, the country was put into lockdown and, ever since, WEOS have fought, tooth and nail, to get this show back on the stage with as much of the original cast as physically possible.
